What is a Mastermind Group?
A mastermind group is a where members meet regularly to discuss their challenges, exchange ideas, and provide mutual support and accountability. Most small business owners do not have outside advisors or consultants to help them brainstorm and make important decisions. But a peer-to-peer group of other businesses owners can provide a powerful forum that will create synergy and help your business reach its full potential.
How Does a Mastermind Group Work?
I have been running Mastermind Groups since 2019 and they typically have 5-10 members who meet on a regular basis via Zoom. Every now and then we will have an in person meeting or activity. These meetings are structured to allow each member to share their current challenges and receive feedback and advice from the group. Sessions might include brainstorming, resource sharing, goal setting, and progress reporting.
The Group requires commitment, confidentiality, willingness to both give and receive advice and ideas, and support each other with total honesty, respect and compassion. Mastermind Group members act as catalysts for growth, devil’s advocates and supportive colleagues. This is the essence and value of mastermind groups.
